We are a Denton-based moving company with our own trucks and our own employees, and the crew that loads your home is the one that unloads it in Green Country.

Carrier or Broker: How to Tell

The FMCSA, the federal agency that regulates interstate moves, lists every registered company in a public database. Search a company’s USDOT number and the record shows whether it is authorized as a carrier, a broker, or both. A carrier owns the trucks and moves your belongings. A broker arranges the move and passes it on, and you often do not know who will show up until the truck is in your driveway.

Brown Box Movers is a carrier under USDOT 2295684 and MC 943303. Look us up, and look up anyone else on your list. It takes about two minutes.

Two Ways North

There are two common routes from Denton to Tulsa, and both run about 250 to 280 miles:

  • Through southeast Oklahoma: east to Sherman, north on US-75 across the Red River to Durant, then up US-69 through McAlester and Muskogee
  • Through Oklahoma City: I-35 north to the capital, then east on the Turner Turnpike, I-44, to Tulsa

If you drive the Turner Turnpike, note that Oklahoma’s turnpikes are now cashless. Tolls are charged to a PikePass or a compatible tag such as a Texas TxTag, or billed by mail to the plate owner. By car either route takes around four hours. Whichever way the truck goes, it goes straight to you. Your shipment does not stop at a terminal or wait while a trailer fills with other customers’ belongings. Your delivery window is confirmed when you book, not left open-ended.

Where You Might Be Moving in the Tulsa Area

  • Midtown, Brookside, and Maple Ridge: older homes with character, mature trees, and narrower streets
  • Broken Arrow: the largest suburb, southeast of the city
  • Jenks and Bixby: growing communities along the Arkansas River to the south
  • Owasso: north of the city near the airport
  • Sand Springs and Sapulpa: west and southwest of downtown

Tulsa winters can bring ice storms that shut down roads for a day or two. If your move falls between December and February, build a little flexibility into your own travel plans.

Picking Up Anywhere in Our Service Area

Our crews start Tulsa moves from Denton and from anywhere else we serve. That includes Argyle, Prosper, Flower Mound, Lewisville, and the rest of Denton County. See the full list on our areas we serve page.

A Full-Service Move to Oklahoma

On moving day the crew wraps, pads, and secures your furniture for the highway. Beds, sectionals, and dining sets are taken apart in Texas and put back together in Tulsa. At the new home, furniture goes into the rooms you pick. Packing is optional and can cover the whole house or just the fragile rooms. If you are moving a family home, our residential moving service shows what a full-service household move includes.

We do not ship vehicles. If you need a car taken to Tulsa, book it with an auto transport company.

One Number, Agreed in Advance

Every Tulsa move starts with a survey of your home, either in person or by video. We list what is going, note access at both addresses, and give you a binding written estimate. That figure is the figure you pay. There is no reweigh at delivery and no adjustment once the truck is loaded. Estimates are free.
